Cica Oyama left Japan in her early twenties, to pursue a career in photography in the UK.
While in the UK, She has worked mainly as a fashion photographer for magazines such as "Vogue""19""Grazia" and "Amica".
Once back in her country, she became not only a successful photographer for advertisement,
but she succeeds in a career as a visual director in the commercial industry, shooting adverts for
Shiseido, TOYOTA, KOSÉ, Coca-Cola, Mitsubishi Electric and Kodak.
In 1996, Cica took a position as Researcher at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music Graduate School and continued her studies in film making at the Graduate school at Goldsmiths, University of London in 1997.
Now, Cica works actively as a film director and producer, traveling all over the world. She has won the Asahi Advertising Awards, the Clio Awards (New York), Kirin Contemporary Award, the Japan Advertising Photographers’ Association Award and other.
